about

I wrote this song around this time last year when I was crashing at Joshua Joy Kamensky's lovely home, prompted by Mark Oppenheimer asking me if I had any holiday songs for the Unorthodox Podcast. It's still pretty topical, even if Santa Claus is a ghost from the slightly more distant past and Charles Manson died a little less recently. Note that the music pays homage to Joni Mitchell and "I Have a Little Dreidel" without overtly ripping off either.
